Watercolor: Belgium
 watercolor
study, 23cm x 30.5cm ( 9" x 12"), mid August, 2000,
Nadrin, Belgium
The medium of water color is very direct and
unforgiving. It can be quite subtle and developed up in
layers or forceful and immediate depending
on the brushwork and the artist's intentions. Due to its
finesse in the highlights and quarter tones, and my lack of sophisticated enough equipment,
it does not reproduce well for
electronic display. Thus, here are a few of the samples of my
work that have reproduced successfully enough to give you an
idea of my feeling for landscape.
