Silverpoint: Underdrawing

I did a study of the Sint Annakerk last summer.  The project turned out very well, but it lacked the penetrating depth that you can get from a well articulated background.  In the Sint Annaplein, the Jerusalem Kerk provides a great background object, especially with morning light.  The tree in front (on the right) was heavily trimmed last year, so the unusual shape of the kerk's top cupola is still visible in early spring. This images illustrates only the silverpoint drawing.  The final underdrawing also had india ink shadow detail in the foreground.
