Egg tempera underpainting for
Golden Hands East, 2006,
40 x 30 cm.
Although the
silver point set the tone for the general composition and
ambience of the piece, much of the descriptive information
became invisible with the addition of color. Thus the egg
tempera pulled out what had been hinted at while also creating
new vibrations of its own. The final oil
turned out well. |
